Took KTM to MidValley. There were SO MANY people, we were squished like sardine sushi on the train.

I just had to take a picture (in fact, two) of this nasi lemak. So far I’ve only seen it wrapped in pyramid shape, not like this.

The Warung charges more than Old Town by the way, though I think no one will find this fact useful.

So I’m here in KL, reached Puduraya Bus Terminal at 4.50am and waited till 6.10am for the earliest Selangor Bus to get to Kepong. Settled down at Yeoh’s house at 7.15am.

Breakfast at a nearby cafe.

Mom and I walked around after buying coach tickets to back to my university (26th 9.00am), all the way to the Kuala Lumpur Library - a pretty big and nice place full of good reading materials. So we sat and enjoyed whatever that’s made available to us, I really liked it there.

Then mom suggested that we go to this place called Coliseum Cafe for lunch so we went, and I swear it’s one of the stupidest mistakes we’ve ever made.

Lunch at Waka in City Bayview Hotel with Mabelle, and Christmas fellowship dinner at aunt Ann and uncle Stephen Yee’s house :-)

Talked and talked, Mabelle ate slowly to accompany me (I’m having difficulties with braces, how nice of her). Lessons in life, learning from others, learning from ourselves, repeating the same mistakes, seeing others repeat their own mistakes. That’s life, and that’s what makes it wonderful.

It’s mom’s birthday today! :-) Apparently it’s also 冬至 today, so we had 汤圆 and grandma gave us each an ang-pao LOL

Went for a little celebration meal in Little Cottage (yes pun intended LOL) after I went for a haircut (now it’s super short T-T).

And of course…

On our way back, we saw this.

Walau eh, this person super ‘terror’ ah. Mom suggested that we pull the key out and throw it into the car, then close the car door without locking it, perhaps it’s safer. Then I said, if later really got stolen then we become suspects how? So we went off without doing anything.

Sketched this today. 3 siblings tied together, celebrating Christmas :-) It’s still incomplete, will continue when I’m free. Added some background for the ancient Chinese lady painting of last week’s.

Ronald sent the Suzuki v100 Scooter back to mom after I reminded him to do so tomorrow while I was painting in the art studio. After sending the scooter without even meeting mom, he just threw the keys into the bottle compartment of mom’s Yamaha Nouvo S parked outside and left. Mom was SO PISSED, especially after she found the scooter in a very bad condition with the 2T oil running very low, and obviously it had not been to a service centre in a very long time.

First, it was 3 members of TVXQ.

A few days ago, it was Han Geng - the only Chinese member of Super Junior and leader of Super Junior M.

I already heard about the rumoured 5 other members and now more "news" of it appeared.

Heck! If it is true, that makes 9 members from 2 of the top boy bands in S.Korea suing SME.

SME ah! Don't you see there is something wrong somewhere there?

So when are the girls joining in?

I doubt anyone else would let this opportunity flee.

Today was a very taxing day just to register for my Japanese class next year.

Registration starts from 2:30 so I dropped down at about 3:30. By then, a few of my friends already registered and were waiting for me and Kia so that we can all go makan together.

When we arrived, we were looking around for the form to fill up. Our friends said to get from the counter. We went to the counter and the aunty was busy handling another student so we waited... and waited... and waited.

Finally, that student left and we asked her for the form. She told us to go to the classroom to check for the class. Once again, we went back in even though we already knew which class we wanted (still no form in hand).

Went back out, she is entertaining another student, who was taking their own sweet time again. So we asked another aunty at the counter for the form. This aunty said, "Ah my colleague is in there, get the form from him."

Back into the class and asked the uncle who then said, "Get the form from the counter."

Huh! What? Again!

When we FINALLY got the form and chose our class, we went back to the counter and hand it to that first aunty who was handling all the registration transaction. I had a cheque in hand to pay the full amount as what I have always done.

Suddenly she informed us, "Oh! Because of the new government policy for private schools, we cannot accept amounts over a certain sum. Please pay for the first semester only."

"But I got cheque for full payment!"

"Cannot accept!"

"Full lei. FULL!"

"No, no. First semester only."

...

Seriously, I wanted to choke a bitch right there and then.

Had to borrow off Kia to pay for the first semester because I do not cart around $200 in my wallet else I spend it all on food at one go.

The full payment is not that much either. Whole year is $527. And she does not want it!!! Anyway, if she accepted it, I have to fork out another $12 for some insurance fee (what kind of new policy is this i cannot fathom) which I am also willing to give but no, aunty does not want my extra money either.

The rest of the day I keep lamenting on, "Why? Why doesn't she want my money? I told her to take. TAKE MY MONEY! And she still doesn't want it. Is the money bad? My poor wasted cheque."

ps. lao beng ah! i still like you haha. do what you have to do lah. then come singapore and find me =P

I finished reading Gantz scanlations last night. Final Phase: Chapter 309. It was good.
The movie should be rated for adults. I don't like gore and don't usually watch films with it but it is essential for Gantz. Wonder if Oku will be hands-on on the movie.

I need to write down my wish list for Dun :P

It's been a little over a week since I have finished school and like most people I have used this extra time to sleep. It's been wonderful and hopefully I can just veg and recuperate until I have to return to school.

I managed to get all my projects done for my classes right done to the last second for painting class since I really didn't want to paint a stupid glass of water. I managed to get A's in all six of my classes, so go me! It's great when you don't really need overwhelm your brain for a class with formulas, theroys or grammar structures. My task as of late has been to clean up my art room and find a way to store all the work I did this semester which has piled up. After Christmas I plan to go through my paintings to see which ones I can gesso over to reuse again. I have my schedule for next semester set up, I'll only be taking 15 sh but 12 of those are studio classes so that is where most of my money will go to pay for lab fees and supplies. Though I think the main problem I am going to run into is that my Ceramics class is at 8:45 in the morning. I'm not sure if my brain will be up and running by that time I told a classmate who will be in it with me she has to make sure I don't fall asleep onto the potter's wheel. Here is the full schedule for Spring:

Then Art History II online from Jan to March as an accelerated course which should be easy since it will be the fourth art history course that I have taken. Next semester should go well at least work wise the only problems that could come up would be with the teachers but hopefully that won't happen.

From December 11th to February 11th I have about 19 works of art up on display at a local Café near my school. It's not all that great of an exhibit since it is just displayed around a restaurant but my stuff is out there so that's nice. If only the girl running it wasn't such an idiot about running it and getting stuff done. I think that all my years in girl scouts running and organizing functions makes me more judgmental than most when I see people failing as orgnizers. As an eighth grader me and another eighth grader put together, ran, and got the funds together for a Brownie (8yrs) overnight that had about 100 girls participating. So if someone that is an adult can't get an Art opening together by the time she said she would I get annoyed. When they switch everything out after February I don't think I will put as much stuff there or make stuff specifically for it like I did this time.

Still searching for a job, I had an interview with Family Video but I didn't get it cause I failed their new release quiz. He gave me the actors and a bit about the plot and I had to name the title. I told him I like action movies but obviously I needed to be more specific like martial arts or comic book based action movies. Cause he asked me questions about movies that I would never watch, i.e. the new one with Cuba Gooding Jr, the one with Robert Deniro and Al Pachino and then the one with Ben Affleck and Russel Crowe all of whose movies I never watch. That interview depressed and pissed me off for the rest of the day almost as much as the time when I talked to the idiot manager of Tom Fooleries. Hopefully something will pan out in 2010 cause I'm tired of being poor and my entire weekend is now free so you would think it would get me a job somewhere.

This Monday Kelly and her boyfriend Micheal are coming up and staying till Christmas Eve since Kelly works Christmas day at the hospital. So Monday evening all of us are going out for dinner most likely to 54th Street Grill since my parents have a gift card there. On Wednesday I am going to start making the cupcakes for people starting with the banana ones then the raspberry cheesecake inspired ones. I'll leave the chocolate peanut butter ones for day of Christmas eve that way they are still warm when they are taken to Aunt Melody's. Christmas day is going to be spent over at Grandma Ileane's though I think most of my family may not be there which is fine with me since it means more food for me.

Well other than that the only thing I have to do the rest of the break is get fillings done on the 30th and that's it, if I do anything else it would be job hunting as always.

Aunt Mei came to visit, and passed 2 planner-books to me. Aiya, if I’d known earlier I won’t buy lar. Sent grandma’s phone for repair, it’s still under warranty so FOC. Yay. Lunch at home and snacked at Oasis, shared one set with mom. Went netbook shopping for mom before that.

 

 

Had to climb to the 9th floor penthouse because the lift was under maintenance.

Then I had to go down alone to buy milk for the bakers in the house^^;

Look at this. It fell into this bowl of water just outside my grandma’s room, it’s BIG and very much alive. Mom told me to flush it down the toilet bowl but grandma insisted that this thing which came from heaven (as she said it) is a treasure. Right. She screamed at me as I was bringing it to the toilet, so I had to put up with her. Superstitious grandma, I should’ve known better. Don’t ask me where it is now.

So what Su-san said about “you’ll know tomorrow” was true. My braces are starting to take effect and I can no longer chew as well as yesterday, when I first had them on. Mom couldn’t see why I took an exceptionally long time to finish up my breakfast (oats, raisins, and a banana) and was nagging me for a while. Lunch was worse, raw vegetable salad. I swear my jaw dropped. Didn’t finish my lunch and pushed it to the fridge, nearly got into a fight with mom who just couldn’t get what’s going on.

Went over to the locksmith’s shop which provides door-making services to get a door-and-lock-catalogue. Decided on something solid, yet simple and we won’t have any grill door outside the wooden door. Ah in case you’re wondering, it’s for my apartment. Will have to wait for the quotation of the fire resistant door, then we’ll see when they’ll start work. As for now, I’ve got to pack my things to move~ heh^^;
